So I am in the process of transitioning blogs, which leaves me with a short/brief 2 on Tuesday
1. I haven't clue how long the transition will take
2. I hope that it will still be part of your reading

Sometimes it's months and for others its years, but when was the last time that you went to church and actually experienced the presence of God Almighty and God the Holy Spirit?
When was the last time you
Just heard my old time favorite Charles Stanley be used by the Holy Spirit to point this out in my life.
"Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord."
Proverbs 16:20
When was the last time gave thought to what God wants to do today?
In the span of two minutes two random things happened to me:
1. A women had forgotten wallet after ordering @ the register, so she retreated to car and Holy spirit told me why not retreat to my own wallet to pay for her. I did and the only string attached I pray is curiosity of why a person would do this? The Gospel wasn't just an act done by Jesus, but one done over and over in the life of the Christian that allows the Gospel message to exude out of every part their life. Practiced selflessness lately, when is the last time you had a timely death?
2. Just seconds later someone was kind to me for absolutely nothing.
So kindness is the thought today, have you given it? Created any curiosity for the publicly lately about the Gospel's impact on your life? Take a moment privately with God and live a moment publicly like you know him.
"By this all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." john 13:35
Can there be anything more ridiculous then:
1. Having a great facade on the outside while on the inside you look like white v-neck drugged through the mud. Pray: "Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin." Psalm 51:3
2. When a person refuses to acknowledge their own mistakes, but continues to point at other peoples. Remember: "The way of the fool is right in his own eyes, but the wise man listens to advice." Proverbs 12:15
You know people talk and if they've been around you or me......they've probably talked about us. I was thinking last night I wonder what people say about me or what I am known for to people?
Do people say I am...
Does the order matter....maybe? Is what's not said matter? Absolutely! People say what they see and if they aren't seeing what I say I am.... then I'm probably not. Is my fleshly nature more known than my spiritual one?
"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you WILL not gratify the desires of the flesh.... And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."
Galatians 5:16,24
I'm amazed and disappointed about how us (leaders) have the awesome ability to open mouth and insert foot at various times in our life. This seems to be consistent with everyone, not just leaders. There seems to be two major failures that we make and I'm mentioning them in hopes to remind us what not to do!
1. Leaders that fail to act on what they say. We constantly ask people to do things that will improve their relationship with God and people, but we fail to display a life that actually believes it. Leaders that lead will lead by example.
2. Leaders that fail to filter what they say. We have this awesome privilege to speak and influence people, whether from the platform or in casual conversations. Unfortunately, the things we say can either positively or negatively affect our ability to lead those who follow us. Leaders guard their mouth.
"Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin."
Proverbs 13:3
So these late 2 on tuesday postings are becoming a habit. I've been extremely busy adjusting to my situation and still trying to nail down a routine. I'm hopeful that its a week out, but only time will tell.
1. A recurring question in my head the last month is goodbye really the end? Simply saying the word "goodbye" translated into parting ways, automatically mean forever? Goodbye isn't the ending, its more of a new beginning. Friendships don't end with goodbye, do they? Friends don't say goodbye, but they say hello. I don't know just thought that I'm praying through.
2. Which my second is always somehow connected to my first, what does the Bible say about this? I've gotten a couple passages that are giving me some insight, but praying through and seeking some others. I'll get back with a post, at least hopefully soon.
This is probably one of my later posts for tuesday, but trying to stay faithful to personal commitment not to fall behind. All that being said....... I am amazed by 2 things
1. That I have been both blessed and fortunate enough to have a wife that....encourages me not matter how boneheaded my failure may be............who loves me when I'm not acting real lovable.........reminds me that people don't read the Bible and understand it, the way I THINK they should..........loves without ceasing..these are just a few.
2. The places that I've been today have been totally guided by the God the Holy Spirit. I've got to witness things that are absolutely ridiclous.
Just wanted to go public with a couple things that God has shown me today, how bout you what has He shown you?
"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God." 1 Peter 5:6
It's a late update, but hey its still tuesday. So here's a quick two
1. Tomorrow night will be the first time I speak to students since starting at the new church, so I'll really be needing the prayer. It's been 5 or 6 weeks since last time I've done it.
2. My first time speaking to students will be on 1 Peter 3:13-22. This text has been called by many theologians and pastors (Luther, Driscoll, Augustine, Jobe) the most difficult text to interpret in the New Testament. So I'd appreciate doubly the prayer!!
What are you needing prayer about? What's coming down the pipe in your life that you need prayer? I would love to pray for you!! James 5:16
