Here's what I'm thinking about this morning and just tweeted about it. Understanding the hands of God is a task that man cannot bear to take up on his own, his only option or possibility is to embrace everything of what he is not. The uneasiness that follows is the opportunity for the Holy Spirit to work and the very moment to have your eyes focus back on the place you always been.... in His hand.
"Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph." Psalm 77:13-15
Kind of like skydiving. You jump because you are sure the parachute will ensure you land safely. Your heart is in your throat as you step past the door. But, after you take that first paralyzing leap into wide open space, you enjoy the fall - or so I've been told - and are eager to do it again.
Trusting God is the most frightening, exhilarating, joyful leap off a cliff we will ever know!
